Nakamise Shopping Arcade is a great place to shop for souvenirs. Edoko Museum displays models of traditional wooden houses and other artifacts from old Tokyo. Toys Museum is popular with both children and adults. A photo stops at the Imperial Palace for pictures of the famous double bridge. Rainbow Bridge offers great views of Tokyo Bay, and Daiba is a popular shopping mall of trendy shops and restaurants. Dinner at Shinjuku or Irebukuro. Sekisho Ato Check Point is a vintage point for viewing the famed Japanese maples trees. Shiralto Waterfall resembles strands of falling silk. A bulllet train ride takes us to Kyoto. City tour visits Yasaka Shrine, famed for its red lacquered square pillars. Night tour of Gion district, an area famous for its entertainment and dinning places. Dinner on your own. Hotel: Kyoto Rihga Royal or Kyoto Rihga Grand Hotel or similar Day 6: Kiyomizuyaki Pottery - Kiyomizu Temple - Scene of Arashiyama - Nishijin Kimono Show - Osaka - Shinsaibashi - Doutonbori (B/L) Visit Kiyomizuyaki Pottery Street. This type of pottery is one of the three most famous potteries in Japan. Kiyomizu Temple, built half way up the mountain, offers a panoramic view of Kyoto. Arashiyama is a natural beauty area with maple trees, cherry trees and groves of bamboo. Nishijin Kimono was once the favorite fabric of Japanese nobility. A Kimono show is presented daily for visitors. Travel to Osaka. Shinsaibashi area is popular for its trendy shops, and Doutonbori has a variety of restaurants catering to different tastes and budgets. Dinner on your own. Hotel: Osaka Rihga Grand or Osaka Toyo or similar Day 7: Osaka Castle - Nara - Deer Park - Todaiji - Kobe - Sake Factory - Kobe China Town - Osaka (B/L/D) The 16th century Osaka is the 2nd largest city in Japan, and famed for its magnificent castle. Nara was the capital of Japan for 74 years. Deer Park has many friendly deer’s roaming about and can be hand fed by visitors. Todaiji has the largest indoor bronze Buddha statue in Japan. Visit a sake factory for a complimentary tasting and also for an in-depth introduction on its production. Then onto Kobe Chinatown, which has many popular restaurants and colorful Chinese shops.
